This companion documentary to the drama series Nolly – narrated by Helena Bonham-Carter, who plays Nolly in the drama – explores the life of Noele Gordon. A star on the stage in the 1940s, Noele was also the first woman ever to be broadcast in colour and, in a world run by men, became a television executive who pioneered daytime TV. Known for being matriarch Meg Richardson in the long-running soap Crossroads, she was finally sacked from the show that was her life – with exclusive access to her personal papers and never-before-seen pictures, this documentary is a love letter to a true star who is still much missed.
